What sort of software do we want to ensure compliance with the Agency Workers regulations?

Well nobody knows?

Extraordinary as it may seem with less than 9 months to go to the implementation on 1st October of a far reaching change that will call for new systems for everybody involved we do not know because the government has not told us about implementation.

According to the Association of Labour providers the draft rulers are due to be issued next month and the procedures cast in stone by the end of May.

So we have started to look at the available systems based on internet research and there is not much around to look at unless you have found something that you think is worth looking at.

Our guiding principle is that we don't want a "techy" solution but one that has been written by HR people for HR.

What do we mean by this? We maintain that you need to understand the interrelationship between recruitment and HR to get the systems right. One of the issues is that many organisations have evolved there own procedures and a direct off the shelf solution of one fits all is unlikely to work as a degree of bespoking might be required?

There are further factors to consider with the ending of the Workers Registration scheme on the 30th April how are users going to evidence the right to work within the European Union?
